Joseph Meehan and Frances Arno Meehan are 1950 graduates of Hamilton Catholic and Notre Dame high schools, respectively. Joe was born and raised in Middletown, and in order to get to Hamilton Catholic, had to hitchhike nearly every day. Married in 1953, Joe and Frances are the parents of five Badin High School graduates and consider their children to be their greatest accomplishment.The Meehans worked side-by-side for many years in the family business, Meehan Electric. To date, 11 of their 18 grandchildren have graduated from or are attending Badin.The Meehan parents and their five children all still live in Hamilton within four miles of each other and have dinner at their parents’ house every Sunday. They thank God for all of their many blessings!Pat Meehan ’72. Pat ran cross country and track for four years, served as a class officer and Student Council representative and was a member of the math, science and chess clubs. He was a six-year volunteer Junior Achievement instructor at Badin, coached cross country at Badin for 17 years and also organized and coached the Badin Orienteering team for five years. He works as an IT project manager for Mercy Health. Pat is married to his high school sweetheart, Dottie Brunner Meehan ’72. She spent many hours volunteering at Mercy Hospital and continues serving the community today. She works as a mammographer at Mercy Fairfield.They are the parents of three daughters, also Badin grads: Christie Meehan ’98, Vickie Meehan ’01 and Jennifer Meehan Reiser ’04. Christie Meehan ’98 ran cross country and track at Badin. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Dayton and earned her master’s degree from Wright State University. A Kettering resident, she teaches science at Magsig Middle School in Centerville.Vickie Meehan ’01 served as cross country team captain and ran track as well. She lives in Indianapolis and works for Crowe Horwath, a public accounting and consulting firm. Her goal is to own her own brewery.Jennifer Meehan Reiser ’04 was cross country co-captain and competed in the state cross country finals. She ran track and was involved with Orienteering. Jen and her husband, E.J. Reiser, live in Waukesha, Wis., where she is a customer advocate lead for Safelite Auto Glass. E.J. is the manager of the local North Face store.Elizabeth Meehan Frederick ’76. She was a member of the French Club and chorus at Badin. Today she is a licensed massage therapist and a volunteer for Hospice of Cincinnati. Her husband, Kevin Frederick ’76, played on the golf, tennis and bowling teams at Badin. He is the vice president of operations and the chief information officer at ProSource Technology Solutions in Blue Ash.Their four children are also Badin grads – Daniel Frederick ’99, David Frederick ’05, Diane Frederick Huff ’06 and Douglas Frederick ’12.Daniel Frederick ’99 apprenticed at Local Union 648 and works as a journeyman electrician at Gesell Electric. He and his wife, the former Lisa Shutters, live in Seymour, Ind.David Frederick ’05 played football, threw the discus and shot put for the track team, and was captain of the Orienteering team, competing in three national championships. David is a mechanical engineer with KYB Americas Corp. in Greenwood, Ind. His wife, the former Kristen Cornelius, is a design engineer for Cummins Inc.Diane Frederick Huff ’06 ran cross country and was a cheerleader. She graduated cum laude from Miami University in three years and earned her law degree from the University of Dayton. Diane is an attorney for a discovery firm in Blue Ash as well as a wedding and special events photographer. Her husband, Devin Huff, is a journeyman mechanic in the HVAC industry.Doug Frederick ’12 ran cross country and Orienteering and his car was the subject of a spectacular art project his senior year. He is currently attending Miami University while working full-time.Susan Meehan Goffena ’78. Sue ran track, was in the drama and French clubs, participated in the Variety Show and worked in the library with Sister Helen. Her husband, Mike Goffena, is a CPA and a partner at the GBR Group.They have three daughter, all Badin graduates – Cynthia Goffena Thieken ’03, Kathleen Goffena ’08, and Nicole Goffena ’10.Cynthia Goffena Thieken ’03 was a Badin cheerleader and is currently a stylist at the Head Shed Salon and Spa. Her husband, Luke Thieken, works for Tristate Biomedical Solutions and has served 13 years in the U.S. Army.Kathleen Goffena ’08 was a cheerleader and ran track. She got her first teaching experience through Badin’s Service Learning Program, and is now the 4th grade teacher at St. Joseph School after graduating from Ball State University.Nicole Goffena ’10 was a cheerleader, ran track and played golf. She currently attends Miami University, majoring in Middle Childhood Education.Timothy Meehan ’84. Tim played basketball and football at Badin. He received the Award of Excellence for French, which has been instrumental in his seven trips to Paris. A graduate of the University of Dayton, Tim is the senior engineer of energy and utilities at Wausau Papers in Middletown. Tim’s wife, the former Kimberly Greene, is a project leader at Hixson, an architectural and engineering firm in Cincinnati. They have four children at St. Joseph School in Hamilton – Joe ’20, Grace ’21, Mike ’22 and June ’23.Janice Meehan Gordon ’85. Janice was on the diving, swimming, track and tennis teams. She was a class treasurer, cheerleader, Student Council rep and a member of National Honor Society. A graduate of Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio, she is a nurse at Mercy Health. Her husband, Scott Gordon, is a senior developer for dunnhumbyUSA. They have four children – Annalee Gordon, Sam Gordon, Mariana Gordon ’16 and Elaina Gordon ’19.Annalee Gordon is a manager at Speedway and pursuing a degree in business.Sam Gordon is a freshman at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Aerospace Engineering while also serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.Mariana Gordon ’16 plays volleyball and also does gymnastics at Badin.Elaina Gordon ’19 will be a freshman at Badin in the fall. She is in the 8th grade at St. Joseph School, a member of the undefeated volleyball team that captured the CYO tournament.
