Nate Jackson ’08 attended the University of Indianapolis, Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). He has an office in Oxford, Ohio providing necessary dental care from routine cleanings, restorations, and prostheses to root canals and surgical extractions, as well as power whitening and orthodontics, including Invisalign. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Ohio Dental Association (ODA), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and Keely Dental Society (Butler County).
Nate works with multiple grade schools in the Butler County area to advocate dental health and hosts presentations where he teaches students in grades K-3 how to establish and maintain good oral health. He participates in ‘Give Kids a Smile’, performing routine dental care to underserved children in addition to working with the United States Special Olympics Organization.

What are you passionate about?
A passion of mine has always been helping/serving others. I am beyond blessed to have an opportunity every day to provide a service for others. I credit much of who I am as a person to my parents, Joe and Kay, who did an amazing job establishing a great foundation for caring. I have always believed that becoming the best version of yourself involves creating an environment that serves others prior to self-satisfaction. At Badin, I was very fortunate to work alongside many amazing faculty members, but no two people greater than Gina Helms and Brian Pendergest. Mrs. Helms instilled “a love for loving” during those 4 pivotal years in my life, while Mr. Pendergest motivated me to be the best version of myself.

What is your best advice for current Badin students?
My advice for any current Badin student would be to enjoy this ride we call life. Enjoy the relationships you have formed with your peers, instructors and God while attending Stephen T. Badin High School. Enjoy the ups and downs of being a teenager and cheering/competing for your school under the lights on Friday Night. Life flies by and you can’t get any time or memories back so take a second to appreciate the many blessings you have. Thank your parents for the sacrifices they have made to provide you with such a great education. Thank your selfless teachers for the day in and day out dedication they have to you and your self-growth. Last but not least, always strive to be a better person today than you were yesterday.
What is your best memory as a Badin student?
I have many great memories from my time at Badin, but one memory that stands out the most would be competing for a state title in baseball. Badin is historically known for having a very competitive baseball program and I was fortunate to be a member of the 2008 State Runner-up team. Rick Kunkel, Chuck McKinney, Ken Brown and Brion Treadway have done an outstanding job of creating a winning tradition and maintaining it year after year.
Thinking of yourself, what are you most proud of?
When it comes to myself, I am most proud of the family I have around me. I am the luckiest man to have such a caring and loving wife who is nothing short of a Rockstar when it comes to raising our son, Jett. I have always believed that everyone has a “calling in life” and I hope that once I’m long gone people will not remember me for the sports accolades, occupation, etc. but more so for the father, friend and husband I was.
