If you’re having a baby, you want Tiffaney Daniels ’93 assisting! Tiffaney has been a Labor and Delivery Nurse for 23 years and works at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She has an Associate of Nursing Science from Cincinnati State Bethesda School of Nursing and a Bachelors of Nursing Science degree from Miami University. Tiffaney is Member of Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honor Society) and is certified in Electronic Fetal Monitoring National Certification Corporation and is a AWHONN Intermediate National Fetal Monitoring Instructor, in addition to being an adjunct professor at Northern Kentucky University.

She lives in the Monroe (OH) area and has two children, Kamerin and Kennedi.

Tiffaney would like to dedicate her alumni spotlight in honor of her mother Phyllis Daniels and In memory of her father William Roger Daniels, her grandmothers Ruby Henry and Etta Daniels and her aunt Marguerite Curlee, LPN.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

From the young age of 5, I knew that I wanted to be a nurse. My inspiration came from my favorite Aunt (Margurite), who was a nurse for over 40 years. I also wanted to give compassionate nursing care to my fellow brothers and sisters, serving as God's disciple.

Who inspires you and why?

My children Kamerin and Kennedi are my precious gifts from God. They inspire me to be a better person everyday so I can make a difference in the world for them and others.

What is your favorite quote?

"The Golden Rule." Treat Others As You Would Want To Be Treated.

Where have you traveled in the world?

In September 2001 (2 weeks after 9/11), my father Roger (who passed in 2014), son Kamerin and I traveled to New York City on our way home from a train convention. It was a trip I will never forget. The city was in survival mode after the horrific events of September 11, 2001. This fast-paced city that never sleeps was so somber. There were security and news trucks everywhere. There were people from all walks of life present. There was a real sense of community. In the midst of this horrible tragedy, love prevailed.

What is your best memory as a Badin student or your favorite story about Badin?

Mrs. Vido (Grammar/Language Arts). Mrs. Vido will always be one of my favorite Badin teachers. I had so many memories of her. My favorite was her acting out one of the many parts in "Scarlet Letter." I can still hear her high pitch voice. May God Rest Her Soul!

Mrs. Collins (Science) Mrs. Collins knew I wanted to be a nurse, therefore, she challenged me to do my best in science. I will always remember Mrs. Collins for her nurturing and caring nature. My best memory of Mrs. Collins was from senior year when we had to do a senior project for AP. Of course, I chose to do "a baby in a womb."

Why do you feel it’s important to give back to Badin?

I think it's important to continue to give back to Badin! We need to keep the Spirit of Badin alive to produce successful Badin graduates. I am a product of Badin. I will forever be grateful for all I learned while attending Badin. I know I wouldn't be as successful as I have been in life, without Badin.

Who is your hero? Why?

My mom Phyllis and my dad Roger (deceased). Mom and Dad have taught me everything I know. They always taught me to love God first, family second, and work hard at everything you do. They sacrificed so much for me to have a wonderful life. I am forever grateful for all that they have done for me.
